Yoga treinu Ashtanga

The Ashtanga vinyasa yoga is one of the many styles of yoga and has been developed from the more ancient practices of yoga asana (poses), the minimalist Turner movement from Europe and the British army exercises in late Colonial India. It has an equal focus on lengthening and strengthening (as we need both). Next to that it helps to create focus and a concentrated mind. It is from this style of yoga that many other styles have been developed.

Ashtanga vinyasa yoga is considered to be the father of all the current power yoga that are happening in fitness centers around the world and all the vinyasa/flow yoga. It consists of 6 sequences, and the first one “primary series ” is already considered challenging for many people . It is a fixed sequence that is linked by movements called vinyasa. With practice this sequence can turn into a state of meditation as all the poses and movements are all done with breathe awareness.

The practice can be thought as a group class (LED), where everyone moves together from pose to pose as one. Or individually within a group (Mysore), where the student can go on its own pace and create her/his own practice. Both ways are meant to develop a home self practice as well. Mysore style is unique to the Ashtanga vinyasa yoga teachings, and promotes the main goal of yoga; being independent, self-dependent and of self realization .
